The latest cozy farming simulator, Sun Haven, has plenty of items to grow that are relatively straightforward to acquire, except for the guava berry. Successfully getting the guava berry requires players to know when it is available for purchase at the store, despite what the game suggests is the correct season, and how long it will take to grow and harvest.
The main issue many come across with purchasing guava berry seeds is that they appear to be summer items since they are found in the Summer Crops Bundle of the Sun Haven Museum. However, the guava berry is actually exclusively a fall item. Therefore, only during fall will players be able to purchase the seeds from the Farming Store and grow them.
Purchasing and Growing The Guava Berry
Once it is Fall, players will need to head to the farming shop owned by Catherine, which is located next to the general store in the Sun Haven region. Here, they will find Emmett at the counter selling his seasonal seeds. The guava berry seeds will be available for purchase at a cost of 60 coins each. After purchasing the seeds, they will need to be planted. In order to plant seeds, the land must first be tilled using a hoe, which upgraded versions of can also be purchased from the Farming Store.
To plant the seeds, head to the area of previously tilled land and the option to plant the guava berry seeds will be available. The seeds must be watered each day in order to grow in their estimated time. If a watering day is missed, this will delay the growth by a day as well. However, if it is raining, there is no need to manually water the seeds that same day. Guava berries take approximately 8 days to grow before they can be harvested with the scythe.
Seeds cannot be planted from inventory. They must be in the utility bar in order for the option to plant them to appear.
The harvested guava berries may now be taken to the Sun Haven Museum to be counted towards the completion of the Summer Crops Bundle. Once the entire bundle is completed, players will be rewarded with the Keg, Advanced Magic Fertilizer, and the Summer Scarecrow. Guava berries may also be sold for 80 coins. With the rewarded items and completion of the Summer Crops Bundle, the quest to bring peace to Sun Haven can progress.
