Brown Skin Brunchin’ meets Saturday on the Nautical Mile

Brown Skin Brunchin’ Long Island Chapter is meeting up Saturday at 11 a.m. at Backyard BBQ on Freeport’s Nautical Mile.

The chapter, which is celebrating its one-year anniversary, offers monthly brunch events, aims to create a space for women of color to come together and enjoy good food and conversation,  fostering new friendships across Long Island.

“We’ve been able to bring together people from all over Long Island to celebrate Black culture and cuisine, and we’re looking forward to continuing to do that for years to come,” Yolanda Garner Hutcherson, an ambassador of Brown Skin Brunchin’ Long Island, said in a statement

“We’re so excited to celebrate our one-year anniversary with our Long Island community,” Eleanor McKay, ambassador of Brown Skin Brunchin’ Long Island, said in a statement.

Gift bags for guests will include healthy hair and body products by Brown Skin Brunchin’ partner, Taliah Waajid of NaturalHair.org
