In the most recent episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, viewers learned that Ronnie Ortiz Magro has gained full custody of his daughter Ariana. Ronnie was one of the original roommates on the show. Despite returning for the spin-off series in 2019, Ronnie no longer films alongside the rest of the cast. The star stepped away from filming in 2021 after his latest arrest. Since then, he has only appeared on the show twice.
Jersey Shore’s Ronnie Ortiz Magro was arrested for a domestic violence incident in April 2021, which ultimately led to his hiatus from the show. At the time he explained that he would be stepping away from the show in order to focus on bettering his mental health for both himself and his daughter. Ronnie shares his four-year-old daughter with his ex Jen Harley. Jen, as well as Ariana, had been seen on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation prior to Ronnie’s departure. Many of the couple’s most toxic, and violent, fights were displayed on the show as well.
Ronnie Now Has Full Custody Of His Daughter Ariana
When Ronnie last appeared on Jersey Shore, he explained that despite having Ariana most of the time, he was still fighting for full custody. But according to Hollywood Life, Ronnie was granted full custody of his daughter in October 2022. Ronnie admitted that because of the hardships he was going through over the last few years he almost lost his daughter. He said, “Now, I have full custody of my daughter. It’s a lot of hard work, but she keeps me balanced. She calms my world down.” Despite not having the best relationship with Jen in the past, Ronnie is thankful for his daughter, who he described as “perfect.”
It Is Unclear If Ronnie Will Ever Return Full Time To Jersey Shore
Since stepping away from filming Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, it is unclear if Ronnie will ever return to the show full-time. In his recent appearance, he admitted that he is in a much better place now than he once was. Ronnie is gearing up to launch his own sneaker business and has also recently moved to Miami. But one main factor may hold him back from returning to the show. Ronnie’s ex and fellow original roommate Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola recently announced her return to the show. While it is unclear how permanent of a role Sammi will play on the show, it is assumed that neither star is willing to film alongside the other.
With Sammi’s upcoming debut on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, it is highly unlikely that Ronnie will be filming alongside the rest of the cast any time soon. It is also unclear if he still has any communication with the other roomies. Luckily, despite potentially not returning to the show, Ronnie is making major life changes in an effort to turn things around for himself which has ultimately resulted in gaining full custody of his daughter.
