Boltrend games just announced that the English version of Disgaea RPG (Free) from ForwardWorks and Nippon Ichi Software will be shutting down next month. It was announced for Japan back in 2018, and when it finally released, it was taken offline for a bit before it finally returned. If you’ve not followed the the game before its announcement for the West, Disgaea RPG is a free to play mobile take on Nippon Ichi Software’s excellent Disgaea franchise that saw a global release through Boltrend games. The announcement mentions in app purchases will be shut down on April 19th with the game going offline on May 12th. Watch the Disgaea RPG English trailer below:
Until it shuts down, you can grab Disgaea RPG on the App Store for iOS here and Google Play for Android here. If you’ve never played a Disgaea game before and would like to play one of the mainine entries, I’d recommend Disgaea 1 Complete on mobile. It is the best way to experience the first game.
