Kyle Chrisley, a former star on Chrisley Knows Best, has been arrested in Tennessee on charges of alleged aggravated assault, which took place soon after both of his parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, went to prison. Kyle was not a fixture on Chrisley Knows Best during its tenure because of personal issues and wanting to stay off camera during hard times in his life. However, his daughter Chloe Chrisley was adopted by his parents during a custody dispute and one of the aforementioned challenging times in his life.
According to Page Six, Kyle was arrested in Rutherford County, Tennessee, for alleged aggravated assault but was released after posting bail. Kyle, who is Chrisley Knows Best‘s Lindsie Chrisley‘s brother, allegedly brandished a “fixed blade” during an altercation at his workplace, Penske Truck Rental. However, his wife Ashleigh Chrisley claimed that it is “not true.” Apparently, Kyle carries a knife for work, but according to her, he did not brandish it or use it on a person. Kyle posted a $3,000 bond and is expected back in court on March 20.
Todd & Julie Chrisley In Prison For Tax Fraud
As mentioned, Todd and Julie are currently serving prison sentences. Both of the Chrisley Knows Best parents were convicted on charges of tax evasion and tax fraud. These charges have greatly affected the family both emotionally and financially. They lost their reality shows Chrisley Knows Best and Growing Up Chrisley, which was a large source of funds for the family. The kids, including Savannah and Chase Chrisley, now don’t have that income, and Savannah has to raise her younger siblings. While drama is probably not the right word for this case, it is something that seems to follow the Chrisleys when it comes to legal matters.
Todd and Julie are under very different circumstances than their son Kyle. However, it does seem like ironic timing to an extent that he has been arrested for being violent so soon after his parents’ incarceration. It shows the effect that this trying and challenging time has had on Kyle. Whether or not Savannah’s step-brother actually brandished the knife and attempted to harm someone, the likelihood that he could do that seems to be feasible, or he wouldn’t have been arrested and charged.
Chrisley Knows Best is coming to an end soon and, frankly, Kyle wasn’t a large part of the show for most of its run. However, the most pivotal part of Kyle’s arrest is how close it seems to be to his parents’ incarceration. That point shows how this has affected each and every child of the family in a different way. Kyle always had his personal issues, especially with his former partners and his daughter Chloe’s custody agreement. It is nice to see that Kyle’s wife Ashleigh has his back despite his past.
Chrisley Knows Best airs Mondays at 11 p.m. EDT on USA.
