What to Expect from Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies
This prequel series takes place in 1954, four years before Danny and Sandy had their romance. It shows four young women in Rydell High, trying to make their way through the ups and downs of high school. Olivia, Nancy, Cynthia and Jane all struggle with fitting in at Rydell High and trying to find their place among the jocks, the cheerleaders and the greaser gang, the T-Birds.
Fed up with being outcast, the girls decide to bond together and form their own clique called the Pink Ladies. Their motto: to act cool, to look cool, and to be cool, ’til death do they part, these ladies think pink! Together, these girls form a bond and create their own kind of fun and change the social status of Rydell High forever.
Described as a ‘love letter’ to the women of Grease and to the people who weren’t given enough screen time in the original movie, this prequel series promises viewers a brand-new view into high school life in the 1950s, as well as all of the different music and dance sequences that brought the original film to life.
Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies stars Marisa Davila, Cheyenne Isabel Wells, Ari Notartomaso and Tricia Fukuhara.
